Thanks All

A great big thanks to all who attended VW Bus Stop 2009. You all respected the site and were all part of the fantastic atmosphere. Despite the weather, a good time was had by all and you helped raise £1101.79 for Folly Wildlife Rescue!!

23/07/09 "Pretty amazing and many thanks to you and all your team for the hard work you had to put into the event - the donation will be put to very good use to buy an item of equipment for the new hospital." Dave Risley The Folly Wildlife Rescue Trust (RCN 1091857)

27/07/09 "After some discussion, we've decided to buy two Brinsea TLC 5 heated hospital cages for the new centre. These measure 80cmx55cmx60cm and are big enough to house badger and fox cubs, nests of baby hedgehogs and even small new-born deer. They cost £499.00 each, so the funds raised by the Bustop event will cover the cost nicely.  These hospital cages will be a big boost to the facilities at the new hospital, so thanks again for making it possible!"

I hope many of you managed to grab a raffle prize, free drink or a bargain in the auction. These products came from the likes of Just Kampers, Boots, Guest Shoes, Warehouse, Alisun, House of Pollen, Newman, Broadway Bookshop, Global Travel, Zest, Kidz Stuff, Mulberrys, W.E Cro, Hair Gallery, T&T, Bramber Construction & Vidette Contractors.

There's also a big thanks to the people who kept you merry; Shepherd Neame, Coors, Harveys, Fullers & Larkins.

Also thanks to our Sponsors for Show & Shine - Cool Air & VW Heritage

And the people who made you feel welcome; Tea Pigs, Tesco, Jordans Cereals, Grass Roots, Yorkshire Tea, Little London Garage & Wells & Youngs Brewery

Coppard Plant also swung us a great favour with the Power

The show would have struggled without the generousity of Mr John Seymour, Nigel (Sound Man) and the help from volunteers Gareth (Bugle Boy), Jo, Rick & Chrissie, Pete & Cath, Gina & Gary, Lynn (at 9 months pregnant), John (the Auctioneer) and everyone else who roped in.

The 5 bands who gave us support are The Flare, He Who Dares, Flexibility, Dog Section, The Good Ship

Some positive comments from the attendees

"What a fantastic weekend you organised we all had a lovely time really relaxing and it was great to be on the front at Eastbourne. WELL DONE to all involved we all look forward to next year." Emma & Dave

"didnt get a chance to thank you for an awsome weekend! Weather could have caused a problem and when we turned up friday afternoon, it looked like it might be just a few of us there. But in time the field got quite busy and it was a really chilled atmos. Must have been a lot of effort to put it on so well done, looking forward to next time!" Gareth
"Just got back from the show (couldn't make the cruise due to other commitments), but just felt we wanted to send an email saying how great it was! The general vibe was brilliant and felt very welcome by all the organsiers/people working there. Someone mentioned on our way out that he was thinking of doing a private show next year/ invite only. We would love to come! :-D" Becky & John

"Just wanted to drop you a note to say how much we enjoyed Busstop the other weekend. Everything was superb and we had a lovely time, it was so relaxed and friendly but still well organised. I've been going to Veedub shows for over 10 years now and Busstop stands out as a firm favourite.

Thanks very much. We hope to see you next year." Faith & Jaymz
